"That's my first winner for Aidan (O'Brien) this season and that'll get me ready for the weekend!" said Seamie Heffernan after he landed the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Maiden (Plus 10 Race) at Dundalk on Bond Street
Heffernan could be on Gustav Klimt for Ballydoyle in the 2000 Guineas at Newmarket on Saturday and here he got the experienced Bond Street home by a length and three parts from Rapture's Delight (7/1 into 7/2).
O'Brien's son Joseph has care of Rapture's Delight for Sun Bloodstock and he'd gotten rid of jockey Donnacha O'Brien before the start. The grey went on to make an encouraging start to his career.
Joseph O'Brien also supplied the fourth across the line, Rockabill
"He was the highest rated horse in the race and whatever was going to beat him had to run to a mark of 90," further reflected Heffernan.
