Hanlon & Cullen strike again
John 'Shark' Hanlon, on the mark yesterday with Star Neuville at Leopardstown, and with the Johnny Cullen-partnered Ardglen at Limerick, repeated the dose with the Wexford rider at Greenmount Park today as Ephorus landed the Signplus Handicap Hurdle.
Cullen led in the familiar Annette Mee colours before two out and the Galileo gelding, equipped with first-time cheek-pieces, galloped on well to see off De Bartishell by four and a half lengths.
The well-backed favourite Jacks Island could manage only eighth place.
