The going in Galway is Yielding to Soft (National Hunt course) and Soft (on Flat track) after 4mm of rain overnight.
The forecast is for approximately 2-3mm of rain this morning, clearing for a dry and bright afternoon. Saturday and Sunday are expected to be mainly dry with the risk of some light showers.
The eight-race National-Hunt card gets under way at 4.45pm. N'golo is easy to back for the opener and trades around 13/8 from 4/5. Gunfire Reef has halved in price to 11/4 for the Guinness Galway Blazers Handicap Steeplechase at 7.45pm. He is on a hat-trick after landing a staying handicap chase at Tipperary and a three mile handicap hurdle in Limerick.
Leopardstown also races today with the eight race Flat card commencing at 1.05pm.
The ground is Good. A dry and bright day is forecast with a risk of a passing shower later. Galileo Chrome is a warm order for the Leopardstown Members Race at 2.35pm - he is 4/5 from 11/8.
