The ground has dried a little further at Galway for day three of the festival.
Clerk of the course Lorcan Wyer told RTE Radio this morning: "We had a little bit of rain overnight, around 4mm, and the ground is now good to yielding National Hunt and yielding for the Flat. There's a little bit of drizzly rain at the moment but the forecast is pretty good.
"It's beautiful ground and it shouldn't hinder the chances of any horse today."
The latest weather prediction is for mainly dry and breezy conditions today and tomorrow with the possibility of further rain developing on Friday evening.
Trainer John Shark Hanlon has confirmed that top weight Hewick will take his place in today's feature race, The Tote Galway Plate, having walked the course this morning.
