The Colin Bowe trained Glibin made use of her lower hurdle than chase rating when winning the Low Low EBF Mares Handicap Hurdle at Listowel today.
Rated 110, 8lbs below her chase rating, the winner was sent to the front before the final flight by capable amateur rider Barry O'Neill and stayed on for a length win over Station Lane
Afterwards Bowe stated “Barry said the trip was a little short for her but they went a good gallop which suited. She also won her beginners' chase here and has been a good servant. She'll mix between hurdling and chasing and might again be aimed at a mares' handicap chase at Fairyhouse in December.”
Glibin was registering her sixth win in all, having now won a point to point, bumper, two hurdles and two chases.
