Gile Na Greine impresses on winning debut
Cuis Ghaire's sister Gile Na Greine made a winning debut in the opening Loder EBF Fillies Race at The Curragh today, prompting trainer Jim Bolger to contemplate a tilt at the Group 1 Moyglare Stakes in two weeks time.
The daughter of Galileo raced prominently throughout before eventually moving through to pick up the lead inside the final furlong, scoring an impressive length and a quarter win over Black Eyed Susan
Afterwards Bolger, who was registered his first winner since the Galway Festival, stated “Cuis Ghaire (runner-up in the year's English 1000 Guineas) would be pacier than Gile Na Greine but Gile Na Greine will stay better - we'll have to think about running her in the Moyglare Stakes next.”
