Chris Geoghegan was seen to good effect when getting up on the line aboard 10/1 shot Birregurra to land the Aslan – Live on Stage After Racing Apprentice Handicap for trainer Pat Flynn.

Flynn’s assistant Martin Maguire said afterwards, “He was badly drawn previously at Ballinrobe and he was only beaten a whisker. Hopefully he’ll keep on improving and we’ll keep him in that company. We’ll probably aim for Galway next.”
