Geocentric gained a deserved stakes success when running out a convincing winner of the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Legacy Stakes at Dundalk.
The Ger Lyons-trained filly was sent to post 11/8 favourite in the Listed event over five furlongs having been stakes placed on her last two outings.
Colin Keane was soon prominent from his inside draw on the daughter of Kodiac and she was in front passing the two pole.
Despite drifting slightly right under pressure Geocentric always looked in control, going on to post a two-and-three-quarter length win over Ladies Church
The winner had been third in another Listed contest at Ayr last time having chased home stable-mate Sacred Bridge in the Group 3 Round Tower stakes previously.
Assistant trainer Shane Lyons said afterwards:- “We're delighted with that, she's been a great servant for us.
“She could go for a break now and if so it would be a nice way to end the season on a high but she's in the Mercury and we'll see how she comes out of the race.
“If she comes out bouncing it could be an option. Either way she'll be having a good long break after.
“She enjoys a cut in the ground and will be starting early next season. This was a nice Listed race locally so it's nice to get that job done.
“She came out of Ayr very well, her coat is great, so it was a no brainer to come here.
“We'll see how she does now and the Mercury isn't out of the question.”
It was a third straight win in the race for Lyons and Keane. Frenetic won the race in the same SBA Racing Limited colours last year while Brunelle claimed the prize in 2019.
