Ciankyle one of the big market movers from early in the day for Dundalk's meeting, gave it a good go from on the gallop in division one of the Jolly January Dining Handicap but he ultimately had to yield to Michael Halford's 11/8 favourite Skerray Rules
Conor Hoban rode the Michael Enright owned and bred Skerray Rules, and the Aussie Rules filly is now a dual winner over the mile here on the polytrack, seeing it out best to prevail by three parts of a length.
Halford remarked: "She's very consistent in that grade. She got bumped around a bit early on but she's tough, and when she gets into the clear she wants to win.
"She goes well on the surface, and will keep coming back here."
