Royal Ascot is now firmly on the agenda for Psychedelic Funk after a highly impressive front-running performance in the Fishery Lane Race at Naas.
Ger Lyons' charge had won on his debut over course and distance last month and followed up in some style.
Colin Keane was soon in front on the well-backed 8/11 favourite (11/10 this morning) and he always looked in control. Ambiguity tried to throw down a challenge two furlongs from home but Psychedelic Funk powered away in the closing stages to record a six-length success.
"We knew we had a nice horse, and I'm delighted with that. He did it the hard way, and he's got a great attitude and a great temperament,” said Lyons.
“The Coventry is beckoning and he will go straight there."
