Flynn continues good run at Wexford
Pat Flynn was in the placings in the earlier races and the Waterford trainer, who reached the landmark of 600 winners at Clonmel last evening, got on the scoresheet again in the Oysters Point Handicap with the Danny Grant ridden Inistearaght.
The grey daughter of Verglas got up on the line to short-head Atlas Peak
Flynn suggested in the aftermath: "She should improve again over a longer trip. She is a well-bred filly, being a half sister to Kargali (winner of the Group 3 Gladness Stakes on his last start)."
Owner, Thomas Cummins, a HR consultant from Shankill in County Dublin, was enjoying his first winner on the track after having a success at Dawstown point-to-point on Sunday. He explained: "She is named after a lighthouse off the Blasket Islands."
