The betting proved the best guide to the Foran Equine Irish EBF Auction Fillies Maiden at Listowel as favourite Social Graces (3/1) routed the opposition.
Huge market slider Munees Gemini ran accordingly with a ninth place finish, whilst up front the Wayne Lordan-ridden Social Graces asserted from over a furlong out.
In the end the all-the-way victor had five lengths in hand over Lavender
"Willie McCreery (winning trainer) thought she had a very good chance today if I could get up good and handy as she was drawn eight. When I turned in she had her ears pricked so I had to get a little bit stuck into her because on that ground if you ease up, something will come and get you," reported Lordan.
"She had two nice runs behind her and Willie said she should take a bit of beating and she won well. The light weight helped and she handled the ground which is a plus as well."
R.P. Whelan, rider of Mosh trained by P.J.Prendergast, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount never travelled.
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Mosh, trained by P.J.Prendergast, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
