Fashion gets verdict in Stewards Room
The result of the Taxi 90333333 Handicap at Down Royal was decided in the Stewards Room with Prince Of Fashion getting the verdict after an unlucky run. Option Be came with a strong run to lead over a furlong out but drifted right in the process.
Prince Of Fashion was hampered as a result and had to switch out under Fran Berry.
John Geoghegan 's charge got going late in the final furlong to get within a head of that rival at the line.
"He fought back well. He did him a length and surely has to get it," was Geoghegan's initial thought.
Option Be's trainer Paul Flynn, who had scored earlier with Mr Man In The Moon was resigned to losing the race:- "He might lose it - it's 50/50 I'd say."
Davy Moran, rider of Option Be, was handed a two-day ban for careless riding.
