The Andrew McNamara trained Drombeg Dawn under unrelated Emmet McNamara, landed the Spin Southwest Handicap at Limerick today.

Backed from 20/1 in the morning into 12/1 SP, the daughter of Orpen tracked the leaders on the outer before moving through to lead over a furlong out, staying on well for a three lengths win over Vera Lilley

Afterwards McNamara stated "hopefully she'll win another handicap now and, longterm, she is a miller to jump and should go down that route."
