Jessica Harrington's now flat-focussed yard bagged just a third jumps win in five months today, as Discordantly landed Leopardstown's featured Grade B TRI Equestrian Handicap Chase under jockey Robbie Power.
The Gold Cup winning trainer had sent out just two jumps winners, in January, from 67 runners since October, and today Discordantly scored by a length and a half from Jerandme
Kate Harrington, representing her mother, later said “the cheekpieces did their work, he engaged his brain today and jumped absolutely brilliant.”
She expanded “we might just have been getting it wrong, we thought he was a stayer and I think maybe 2m5f is his maximum. He loved the bit of nicer ground as well and we might just stay at 2m5f and see what options there are for him.
