Diamonds Lands Ballinrobe Gamble
He had been due to contest a 50 to 80 handicap at the Curragh yesterday until that meeting fell by the wayside but his supporters didn't have long to wait for another opportunity as All Diamonds justified a 12/1 in the morning into 5/1 gamble.
Seamie Heffernan 's previous course and distance winner came home best of all to prevail by a neck from Coral Creek who had looked the likely scorer in the Michael Cawe Suspended Ceilings Claiming Race.
Successful trainer Michael Cunningham said, "I think rain is the secret to him and he has won here before. He's had a lot of trouble with his legs and the ease in the ground helps."
There were no claims. (EM)
