It was a day to remember for Shane Crosse who enjoyed a treble at Leopardstown that saw him ride out his 3lb claim. Full Moon Magic (17/2) came widest of all in division one of the Leopardstown Club 30 Handicap to grab the lead in the final 100 yards.
She soon moved clear and hit the line two and a three quarter lengths up on Universal Focus (7/1). Happy Company (17/2) and Arcland the 3/1 favourite, completed the placings in third and fourth respectively.
Full Moon Magic brought up a four-timer for Joseph O'Brien as Crosse also partnered Galileo Chrome (4/7f) and Numberoneson (4/1). Declan McDonogh was on O'Brien's other winner, Federal
“That's his claim gone now,” said assistant trainer Brendan Powell.
“She showed promise on her first few runs last year. She had terrible sinus problems and had an operation.
“The owner is a very good friend of Joseph and Aidan and he loves nothing more than breeding a winner.
“Touch wood she might go on from that, she'll stay all day. Shane said he was never really travelling the whole way through the race but she does love passing horses and she's very genuine.
“It's been a great day for Joseph and all the lads."
