Dancingwithangels relishes the conditions in Roscommon

DancingwithAngels (8/1) ploughed through the soft ground in Roscommon to post a wide-margin success in the mile and a half handicap. Stony Grey and Chris Hayes led and were soon clear. Dancingwithangels raced in rear with just two behind her. However Robbie Downey pushed her closer into the race on the home bend.
At this stage she was fifth on the outer as the pursuers closed up on Stony Grey. Coming to the final furlong and Stony Grey was proving stubborn in front as Tawseef and Dancingwithangels attempted to hunt him down.
Inside the last furlong Dancingwithangels showed her mettle as she powered home to leave the other two in her wake. Stony Grey at 16/1 just pipped Tawseef (7/1) for second.
Tom Cleary said: "She seems to have improved again. I rang the manager Michael Finneran yesterday and he said the ground was good. I told him I had rain ordered and luckily enough it came!
"Rory (Cleary) wasn't able to ride her but we had a good deputy in Robbie, and the few extra pounds off her helped.
"She comes out of her races very well. The plan is hopefully to get another one before the weather takes up." Madeira Classic the 15/8 favourite from 7/2 in the morning, was eased down in rear, pulled up and dismounted with under a furlong to go.
