Bridge shows true colours
London Bridge sprang a bit of a shock in the 1m4f handicap at Dundalk when scoring for Noel Meade.
Sent off the 16/1 outsider of seven runners the gelding travelled sweetly for Shane Foley and took a narrow lead before the turn.
He battled gamely in the closing stages as plenty came with chances and went on to record a length victory over Golden Nugget
The winner, formerly with John Gosden in England, had been well beaten on two completed starts for his new yard, one on the level and the other over hurdles.
"He just doesn't like soft ground. This is probably his trip and things went his own way," said Meade.
"He's in again tomorrow over seven furlongs and I'll see how he is. I might run - there is not a lot to lose by running.
"I'll wait till next summer with him to go back over hurdles."
