Brideswell Lad (8/1) was successful on just his third start over fences when landing the 0-102 handicap chase.
The Shirocco gelding, owned and trained by Seamus Neville, tracked the leaders and charted a fairly wide course before taking over in front after three out. He saw his race out well to beat the staying-on Steps Match by four and a half lengths.
The six-year-old had previously won a maiden hurdle at Tramore last summer.
Winning rider JJ Slevin commented: "The ground is much quicker on the outside - it's very, very quick out there in fact, and seeing Danny (Mullins) win on the second horse made up my mind to go wide. If you follow Danny you won't go too far wrong.
"He did it well, jumped quite well and it was a good performance. He is a big horse, is a brother to Cloth Cap and is improving as he is only a baby. Hopefully he will win again if he gets his ground during the summer."
