Trainer Jim Bolger and his wife Jackie (winning owner) doubled up at Leopardstown today when their Neophilia followed up an easy win at Gowran recently with success in today's Independence Day Handicap.
Neophilia's sire Teofilo is providing Bolger with much of his 'ammunition' at present, including his Irish Derby winner Trading Leather, and half an hour earlier Teorim won another handicap for the same connections and stallion.
Following Neophilia's win, under Rory Cleary, Bolger stated “she was a little bit keen before she got to the front (before halfway) today. Hopefully we'll go for another handicap now and she's a fairly good looking filly.”
