Blushes takes opener at Kilbeggan
Paul Flynn and Mick Darcy who were on the mark at Tipperary on Thursday were back in the winner's enclosure when 7/4 favourite Save My Blushes took the opening Kilbeggan Maiden Hurdle.
Darcy sent the favourite to the front five from home and the pair drew clear from the last to record an easy success.
Winning trainer Flynn said afterwards: "He's been waiting for the ground and a trip. "
"He's being running all winter on heavy ground which we probably shouldn't have been running him on."
"He'll probably have a short break now and comeback for a chase."
