Beyond The Law (9/2) stayed on best in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Beginners Chase at Cork.
Phillip Enright 's mount travelled well to pick off front-running Rathnure Rebel coming to the last in this two and a half mile contest.
From there he was driven out to account for 5/4 favourite Rathnure Rebel by two and three quarter lengths. Lord Schnapps was a further two and a half lengths back in third at 25/1.
Phillip Enright said: "He was down in grade today and it was a fair call out of Mouse (Morris) to run him again as quick as he did.
"I made the running at Tramore and didn't think he jumped as well and Mouse left it to me today and took a chance by holding him up and he galloped out to the line.
"His hurdle form was on heavy ground and it was good out there and he handled it well and Mallow deserve credit as it is safe good ground.
"It's great to have my first winner for Mouse and also in these colours. I've ridden once or twice for Mouse in the past but recently he has given me good opportunities and it's nice to repay him.
"I rode a couple of times for the Potts' for Henry De Bromhead but without any luck as I broke my hand and wrist off them, so it is nice to have a change of fortune."
