Fran Berry completed a double at Dundalk this evening when steering the Eddie Lynam trained Akasaka to win the iRadio Cracked i Handicap.
The son of King's Best, twice a previous course winner but never at this 1m2f trip, was produced to lead a furlong out before staying on for an easy win over Night Glimmer
Afterwards Lynam stated “we ran two in the race and figured if one got the trip, we'd be in the shake up. The winner got the trip well and it's his third win around here and he likes it here.” East Of Tara the 7/2 favourite, lost her action about one furlong from home according to her jockey Kevin Manning. She was found to be blowing hard post race. The filly finished sixth.
