Noel Kennedy ended a winner-less spell stretching back just over a year when Behrama took the Happy Easter All Patrons Flat Race (Mares) in the hands of Roger Quinlan.
The Aga Khan-bred filly obviously appreciated the much quicker conditions having finished out of the frame on her previous two outings on soft ground.
Quinlan sent her to the front early in the straight and, with the prominent Flirtin N Flauntin suffering a serious injury, she stretched clear to beat the well-backed Wontbelongnow (4/1) by six lengths.
The 15/8 favourite Kilbarry Beauty never got in a blow but did keep on well in the closing stages to be just a short-head further back in third.
Delighted winning owner Jacqui Norris from the Curragh said, “It’s my first winner and it’s all very exciting.”
