Ballylanigan gifted beginners chase
Ballylanigan made the most of the exit of Strongpoint to take the Mullingar Beginners Chase at Kilbeggan under Keith Donoghue.
The 2/1 favourite looked to have the race in the bag when going clear after the third last.
He crashed out at the penultimate fence, however, leaving Ballylanigan in the lead.
Gordon Elliott 's charge was left to run out a cosy 11-length winner from The Tartan Army The winning trainer was absent.
