A day of big-priced shocks at Navan concluded with Philip Rothwell's Ard Agus Fada s taking the handicap chase at 12/1.
At the second last fully seven horses jumped it in unison. From there Ard Agus Fada and Andrew Ring set sail for home joined by Itsuptoyou and Ionisphere
From the last though Ring got a good response from the ten-year-old as the gelding stayed on best by half a length from Itsuptoyou (7/2) and a further four and three parts of a length to Ionisphere (10/1).
"I really fancied him today as he needs a galloping track and good ground," Philip Rothwell said.
"He made a bad mistake at Leopardstown the last day and he'll probably like a bit further."
