There was an amended result to Dundalk's Racing TV Club Day At Dundalk Race today with nose first-past-the-post Singsong Lady demoted to second place behind eventual winner, and Galileo-sired newcomer, Jezebel Queen
Gavin Cromwell 's Singsong Lady was a course winner last month and was today returned the well-backed 5/6 favourite, whereas debutante Jezebel Lady, out of good race mare and Irish Oaks runner-up Banimpire, was easy to back and returned 7/2 (from 9/4).
In the race Jezebel Queen soon led and while headed by Singsong Lady with a furlong to race, was rallying when receiving a fractional bump in the closing stages, and stayed on strongly to get to within a nose of Singsong Lady at the line.
The resulting enquiry later saw the result amended, with Jezebel Queen being promoted to winner, for trainer Ger Lyons, jockey Mark Enright and owner Newtown Anner Stud, who purchased the filly as a yearling for £170,000.
