Aladdins Cave wins again
Aladdins Cave has proven a credit to trainer Colm Murphy all season and completed four wins in his last five runs in the McEnery Cup Handicap at Gowran today.
Ridden by Pat Smullen, the son of Rainbow Quest saw off the challenge of staying on Bright Horizon to score Jockeys’ Championship leader Smullen’s 60 winner of the season, one ahead of Johnny Murtagh.
Afterwards Murphy stated “Galway didn’t work out for Aladdins Cave but he bounced back today. We’ll aim him at a Premier Handicap at The Curragh next before he goes back hurdling – soft ground isn’t an issue with him either.”
