Wife not for Passing in Galway finale
The Gavin Cromwell trained The Passing Wife registered his third success in that division when justifying favouritism in the final race of the 2024 Galway festival, the Fr. Breen Memorial(Pro/Am) Flat Race. Sun 04th AugCross card double for Cromwell as Wife wins Bellewstown finale
He took the concluding event at Naas earlier with Empress Alma and there was more of the same at Bellewstown for Gavin Cromwell as his The Passing Wife emerged victorious in the closer, the J.H. McLoughlin Oil INH Flat Race. Sat 06th JulRedemption Day back to his best under Townend
Patrick Mullins was on the wrong one in the concluding bumper at Fairyhouse as the Jody Townend-partnered Redemption Day came back to his best in a first-time hood. Mon 01st AprHappy Wife, happy life for Cromwell in Punchestown bumper
Trainer Gavin Cromwell added to a success at Cork earlier in the afternoon when The Passing Wife landed the concluding Irish Daily Mirror(Pro/Am) INH Flat Race at Punchestown. Sun 26th Nov
After race at Bellewstown Sat, 6th Jul, 2024 (1st)
He's held good company all winter without getting his head in front,. I suppose he was entitled to win it off his winter form. It is always competitive up here and delighted to win. We'll probably go for a hurdle in Galway now.

After race at Punchestown Sun, 26th Nov, 2023 (1st)
He’s a horse that never really showed us a whole pile at home. We ran him in a maiden hurdle in Cork and he ran a lovely race so I said we’d give him a go in a bumper. I thought he’d run a nice race today and be placed so I’m delighted with that. Decie probably got there a tad too soon but he put his head down and wanted to win in fairness to him. He’s not an over big horse and as I said hasn’t shown too much at home but once they show it on the track that’s what you want.
