Turf Wins the War
Turf War (4/1 in the morning into 5/2) led before the third and made the rest in the Fermoy Maiden Hurdle, keeping on well up the straight under Davy Russell to repel Maid Of Malabar and the favourite, Champus, by three parts of a length and one and a quarter lengths. Sun 22nd Mar
She is a top of the ground mare and any of the boys that rode her before said that she needed fences. It was a bit of an ask coming here on her first start over fences but there aren't many opportunities and this one was at the local track.

I was actually a bit worried about the ground, she won her bumper on good ground but she seemed to get through it ok. We will keep her on the go for the Summer and she'll be a better mare on better ground.
