After race at Bellewstown Tue, 25th Aug, 2020 (1st)
I was delighted with that. Both times that he's won before it has bucketed with rain on the morning of the race so I knew he had his ground. He's been in great form. The ground didn't go as soft as I would have hoped in Galway. The two miles on good ground there was a bit too short. Actually the form of that race has turned out very good anyway. I would have been hopeful there on softer ground as he likes it around there. He was second there on the Flat. I'm the only person here delighted to be soaked!. Eoin gets on with him brilliantly and knows him inside out. We'll chop and change it with him now, he'll go over fences once we get our ground and a course that suits. We're really looking forward to that and we think the best is yet to come.

He won here as a two-year-old on that ground, so I knew that the course and ground were okay for him, but he's just been very frustrating. There have been a few times where I thought he should have won, but it just hasn't happened for whatever reason. I don't think he does too much, to be honest. He's very easy on himself and after the race he'll be bucking and squealing. I'm so pleased it's happened here today at our local track for local owners, and everyone's here. It doesn't matter whether he goes over two or two and a half miles, he'll stay further. He came home well today, once he starts passing horses he loves it.

After race at Down Royal Fri, 8th Sep, 2017 (1st)
He's a lovely horse but he's just been slow for the penny to drop. I didn't think he would handle that ground at all, he's such a good mover. He has a big long stride and I just told Danny (Sheehy) that we had an awful draw and even if he had to stay wide to keep riding and keep him rolling and just use his length of stride. I think he coped with it all today. He's definitely one for Dundalk. He's very, very big - he's about 16.1. I've been waiting for him to sort of fall apart after every run and put him away because he is so tall but he actually thrives on his work so we'll keep him going now.
