To be honest I couldn't see her being beaten coming here,. The level she showed last year to beat Love and the winner of this race (Thundering Nights), I didn't enter her in the Arc for fun. I think she's top class. We decided, Barry and I, that we'd start her campaign in the middle of the year with a view to the second half. She didn't have a run but I don't think it matters to her. Rosscarbery was third as well and she ran a very good race. She's progressing and I couldn't split them as I knew the two of them were in good form. It's great and that's why we get up and try and do it. We're lucky that people like Barry have sent us some good horses. We planned to start it here. The Yorkshire Oaks is something we'll consider, the Fillies and Mare at Ascot, the Arc, the Breeders Cup maybe and Hong Kong. That sort of line up. We were keen to start at home, we didn't really want to travel for her first run. William Haggas is a good friend of mine and we pre-trained for him. Then I decided three or four years ago to really give training a go. We did it first in my own colours with a permit. I had confidence in the two fillies and I was hoping the two of them would run good races. If I had to be beaten it would have been okay to be beaten by William but I would rather have won!

my office is the tractor and I was sitting looking at the phone on Friday morning scratching my head when I saw Love declared. I didn't expect to see her and there might have been an expletive!. When I make a plan I tend to stick to it and wasn't going to waver although Barry Irwin (of owner Team Valor) was quite cross with me when he saw Love declared. I got a lecture about what was I at, what was I thinking, but I told him I thought she was good enough.

We've had her since April and she has not put a foot wrong. I was very keen to go to Killarney the last day for experience when the chance was there - the owners wanted to go straight into Group company but I talked them out of it and I'm glad now we did. She is progressing physically and is enjoying training and has plenty of talent. She has plenty of entries and I said after Killarney that the EP Taylor is a possible target, but I have her in the Champion Fillies and Mares race in Ascot in October and the Prix Vermeillle is in France for her also. She is versatile ground-wise and while she has to step up past Group 3, I think 1m4f is no problem to her, although she has the pace for 10 furlongs. I was hoping she'd do something like that.

We have her since the start of April, she was impressive here over a mile and went to Naas and ran a very nice race when I thought she showed her greenness in the closing stages. I was keen to get another race like this for her if we could and we like Killarney!. I think she'll be very effective at 1m4f and think she'll be better at four than three. I'll talk to the owners but the Oyster Stakes at Galway would look a reasonable next step. I have it in my head to go for the EP Taylor at Woodbine at the end of the year.

it was her first run for us so I'm thrilled. Team Valor are very good supporters of mine and it is great to train another winner for them. In Naas she looked impressive and has confirmed that it was accurate here today. I thought we'd see how today went and then make a plan - her owners are ambitious. Today's trip would be her minimum and, I think, the last Ruler Of The World who broke her maiden here was Iridessa (Breeders Cup Filly And Mare Turf winner).
