That's brilliant as it's Katie's first runner as an owner. They must be lucky colours,. He's been unlucky all year as he's not had an ease. He's been flying home but that's the way he is. He has to arrive there easily and is a tricky horse. Soft ground is the key to him, and when he's passing horses he gets confidence.

After he was second at Clonmel the last day, Jack said to drop him back in trip and the downhill finish also helped today,” . It's great to win another race with him and hopefully there'll be another race for him before the ground dries up.

He did today what I thought he'd do at Thurles in a Ladies Race the last day. He had worked unbelievably well at Punchestown a few days before that run but was then beaten after a furlong when he did run at Thurles. The piece of work must have left him flat as a pancake and took the edge off him. I left him freshen up coming here and he did what was expected at Thurles! He might go to Fairyhouse next. He is owned by Tommy Ward, a metal merchant from Mountmellick, who also owns Cliff House with John Joe Walsh.
