it was absolute carnage out there and we were scundered with (slow-starting stablemate) Adams Barbour in the race before. This filly was entitled to come on from the last run and she loves it here. It’s very similar to the gallop we have in at home, the same design. They handle it well and it’s been a lucky track for us. She did a couple of false jumps at the start and Leigh (Roche) just said it had taken a fair bit out of her and he was wondering would she get home but she did. We’ll freshen her up now and find something else.

This filly has been consistent without being consistent!. We bought her to go to Wolverhampton but unfortunately with restrictions we haven't been able to go there. We've been running her at Dundalk and she wasn't enjoying it at all. . We set her up to come back here because Racheal Blackmore rode her around here last year and finished third on her off about 20lbs higher. . I thought she really handled the track well that day and I thought there's only one place to come back to. When we got the draw we were smiling and I said our luck's finally come in!. She's done the job well and there's not a lot of pressure on her now that she's got a few quid back!

Katie (Walsh, wife) bought her as a yearling for ten grand in Newmarket. Epaulette isn’t that sexy but the mare had two winners from two runners,. She had two runs over five, ran well the first day in Naas and not a bad run then in the Curragh. She’s bred to get six or seven, she knew her job and was able to dictate from the front. It’s my first two-year-old winner. We’ve had a few seconds and I’m delighted to have a juvenile winner. A bunch of lads from Dublin that work in banking own her but unfortunately they weren’t able to get here. I’d say they will have a good night tonight!
