Review downpatrick 19th Dec
In The Haven was made to work hard to justify odds-on favouritism in the INH Stallion Owners European Breeders Fund Maiden Hurdle at Downpatrick, the second leg of a double on the card for Philip RothwellFri 19th Dec

Mullins Completes Double in Bumper
Willie Mullins' late arrival had racegoers presuming Morning Supreme, a first-time Supreme Leader mare, was a 'good-thing' for the bumper and after being sent off the even money favourite (at least 11/4 in the morning), Patrick Mullins' mount did her job in great style in the Downpatrick Flat Race. Mullins Gains Third Win as a Pro
Punters sided with Cru of the Willie Mullins-trained pair in the Irish Racing Annual Beginners Chase but that Paul Townend-ridden 3/1 market-leader could only manage a moderate fourth behind her stable companion, Derrymore Dawn under Emmet Mullins. Fri 19th DecReview BALLINROBE 22nd Sep

Walsh on the mark at Bellewstown
Ruby Walsh, out of action for a couple of weeks through suspension, partnered his first winner in Ireland since he registered a Kilbeggan double on June 1st, when he gave Derrymore Dawn a well-judged ride to take the Bellewstown Golfcourse Handicap Hurdle by half a length. Thu 03rd Jul

I would have been here to see that fellow win too but I got held-up as my secretary was out sick and I had to do all of the entries myself. Derrymore Dawn has huge reserves of stamina and for a four-year-old to win over two miles seven on that ground was a fair performance. If we could just put a bit of speed into him he'd be alright.
