she's very straightforward and we do nothing with her. She eats, sleeps, sprints and that's it. She doesn't pull or drag, hacks away at home and she's a pleasure to have. We'll probably go to the Curragh now for the Joe McGrath Handicap (September 24th) and hopefully this doesn't wreck my chances there. The recent rain was a great help as she definitely prefers a bit of cut, and she likes it here.

A very straightforward mare - she eats, sleeps and sprints!. I thought she won with a bit in hand the other day. She's very laid-back through her races and travels and finishes well. Winning rides are always good rides, aren't they?!

My husband is in Wexford, we have a runner down there for Tom Egan as well. I think he preferred the shorter trip!. That is our first Flat winner ever so we are delighted. We are in Fethard, Tipperary and have about nine in - some are pre-training for the Flat. It was a great performance with the weight that she had. We were hoping that she would run well but she hadn't won on ground that quick before so we were just a little bit worried about that. She got away with it and did it well.

She loves it here, she was a bit disappointing in Navan the last day but we were probably drawn wrong. Joe took his time on her and gave her a grand ride again today. She's brave and battled away there. I'm delighted with her, she's tough and the one thing about is she's game. She doesn't take much out of herself with the racing but I think that's about it for the season now as we've no place else to go. I'm delighted for Tom (Egan), he bought her after the breeze-ups and she's been lucky for him. If we could get a few more like her it would keep the show going.

She's a game little one and Joe (Doyle) said she toughed it out well there. She had only a light weight and we had no other race so we had to take our chance. Hopefully she'll keep on improving. She's in at Navan next week and there is also another 45-75 here in under a fortnight. Maybe the Curragh would suit her better and we might stick to here. She really wants a dig in the ground so if she runs again here that will be it for the year. She's won twice now and she's paying her way.

I was with Barney (Curley) at the start and I'm with him at the finish. When he talked you had to listen. He was good to everybody.
