Belle takes the Blandford for Murtagh
The Johnny Murtagh trained and ridden Belle de Crecy sprang a 16/1 surprise in the feature race at the Curragh this afternoon, the Group 2 Lanwades Stud Blandford Stakes. Sat 14th SepBelle completes a treble for Murtagh
After winning his sixth Oaks thirty-five minutes earlier, doubling up in the process, Johnny Murtagh's day got even better as he completed a treble aboard his own Belle de Crecy in the Kilsaran International Handicap. Sat 20th JulBelle de Crecy eases to maiden success

After race at Curragh Sat, 14th Sep, 2013 (1st)
She probably just blew up a bit last week and I really fancied her today. Niall (McCullagh) rode her yesterday morning and he said she was in great form. She's got great heart and a great pedigree. She has done nothing but improve from day one and her sister stayed a mile and six. I'm not sure if she will run again this year but she is so tough and comes out of her races so well you'd never know.

After race at Curragh Sat, 20th Jul, 2013 (1st)
She was hanging a bit left as she was feeling the ground and I probably won't run her on ground that fast again, but she stayed at it well and an extra furlong would be ideal for her.

After race at Roscommon Mon, 8th Jul, 2013 (1st)
She came up against some good fillies on her last two runs. Andrew (Andrew Tinkler, winning owner) likes her and she is a well bred filly. She came into this on a mark of 81 which I didn't think was too bad, and hopefully she can win a fillies handicap. She is a bit fizzy but she maybe able to stay a mile and a half by the end of the year.
