Bomb Hits target on debut
"He's a nice horse and ran green. He was drawn badly and did well to win. Ryan (Moore) was happy with him," explained Aidan O'Brien as Ryan Moore returned to the fray in Ireland to land the Irish Stallion Farms European Breeders Fund Maiden (Plus 10) on first-timer Hit It A Bomb (2/1 favourite). Sun 27th Sep
it's great to get that done. He had a tremendous run first time out at the Curragh where he needed it (the run). He was going to run again two weeks after that but started to cough. I wanted to run him in a Group race but it was foolish on my part to run him (at Leopardstown). We think he's a very good horse. He was doing enough in front, is the type of horse that does himself well, and gave a blow again tonight. Billy gave him a lovely ride. I do think he's a Stakes horse, and we'll have to step him up to that sort of level next year.
A Oliver
