Quevega was a warm order (11/8 to 5/4f) and took this in great style. The French import had been impressive on her debut at Punchestown and followed up in similar fashion.

Settled behind the leader she took up the running after the fourth last and had her rivals struggling before the turn.

Ruby Walsh's mount put daylight between herself and Maca Rince before the last flight for an effortless success. Punchestown is next on the agenda.

The bare form may not be much with the 103-rated Maca Rince chasing her home but the style of the victory suggests she is a classy filly.

The runner-up ran well without posing a threat, moving through to second after the fourth last and keeping on well.

Mourne Rambler proved a disappointment. He had looked progressive in his two recent victories but could find no extra in third in the straight and dropped to fourth after mistake at the last.

Turtle Time Lucky stayed on past him for a moderate third while Playing was another to run below expectations.

He took them along but dropped away tamely when headed after the fourth last.
