Mr David Maxwell explained that the gelding ran freely from the off and was difficult to restrain.
He added that upon going out onto the final circuit, he as the rider lost all strength in his right leg, hindering his ability to continue racing and soundly jump the fences in the back straight, so for the safety of himself and Bob And Co (FR), he elected to pull up.
