Permission was given for Eternal Glory (IRE) to go early to post and for Whistledown (GB) to go early to post and be mounted in the chute.
Callum Shepherd, the rider of Astral Beat (IRE) had arrived in the Parade Ring after the signal to mount had been given.
After being interviewed, Shepherd was fined £140.
An enquiry was held following a report that Callum Shepherd had used abusive language towards the Chief Steward.
Shepherd and the Chief Steward were interviewed, and further evidence was heard from a Starter and a Valet.
Having heard their evidence, Shepherd was found guilty of improper conduct and suspended for 4 days.
Approaching the final furlong, the winner Makarova (GB), hung quickly left despite the riders best effort to correct the filly, shifting Macon Belle (GB), unplaced, off its intended line but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Makarova (GB).
Following the race, George Downing reported that Lord Gorgeous (IRE), unplaced, ran too free; Callum Shephard reported that Astral Beat (IRE), placed fifth, hung left-handed and Hollie Doyle reported that NIKKI’S GIRL (IRE), placed third, was never travelling.
