He went to Killarney and when he came home he was sick,. We gave him three or four weeks off. I gave him a small piece of work last week. I'd say he'll come on plenty for this run. The Stewards enquired into possible interference between the final hurdle and the winning post involving Shanroe Al C, ridden by D.J. Hand, placed first and Walking On Glass, ridden by A.P. Kelly, placed third, where it appeared that Walking On Glass may have been tight for room when delivering a challenge. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards made no alteration to the Judges placings and took no further action

An extended handicap hurdle for four years old and upwards (109 = 11st 12lbs)
Weights - Top weight in the original handicap and after the time of declaration shall not be less than 11st 12lbs and the minimum weight is 9st 12lbs
Penalties - Winner of a hurdle race after calculation of the handicap shall carry 5lb extra for each hurdle race won.
Riders - Confined to Professional Riders under I.N.H.S. Rules who have not lost the right to claim the allowance under Rule 52 (iii). Allowances - (which are not cumulative, up to and including 15th August) Riders who have not ridden the winners of 25 *races allowed..........4lb Those who have not ridden the winners of 40 *races allowed..........2lb No allowance under Rule 52 (iii) may be claimed *Including races under any N.H.
