Permission was given for Coco Jack (IRE) to wear a red hood to post and for Tenjin (GB) to be ponied early to post.
An enquiry was held to consider the placings in this race after interference on the run to the line when the winner, Brave Emperor (IRE), ridden by Luke Morris, interfered with Alzahir (FR), placed second, ridden by Robert Havlin, and Tenjin (GB), placed third, ridden by Darragh Keenan.
The Stewards considered that the interference had not improved Brave Emperor (IRE)’s placing as the gelding always appeared to be holding Alzahir (FR) and Tenjin (GB) to win by a head.
Morris was cautioned for careless riding as he allowed his mount to shift left-handed without sufficient correction, with his whip in his right hand, carrying Havlin and Keenan off their intended lines.
