Rounding the first bend Hedychium (IRE), placed third, became slightly tight of room against the rail.
After viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
The apparent improvement in form of the winner, Maid Of The Night (IRE), which had never previously been placed, was considered.
Henry Daly was interviewed.
His comments that the mare was up in trip from 2 miles to 2 miles 5 ½ furlongs on this occasion and it was her first run in a handicap which in his opinion, was a weaker race.
His comments were forwarded to the Head Office of the British Horseracing Authority so they that could be reviewed in conjunction with the previous performances of Maid Of The Night (IRE), and the mare was routine tested.
