Permission was given for Gentleman Moore (IRE) and Cheltenam De Vaige (FR) to be mounted on the chute and go early to post.
Oxwich Bay (IRE) ducked right and hit the rail, unseating Adam Wedge, on the way to post.
After being checked by the Veterinary Surgeon and Doctor at the start, both were deemed fit to race.
An enquiry was held to consider interference on the run to the line when BUBBLE O’CLOCK (IRE), placed third, ridden by Matt Griffiths, interfered with Fenlons Court (IRE), placed fourth, ridden by Daniel Sansom.
Griffiths was suspended for 2 days for careless riding as he allowed his mount to drift left-handed without sufficient correction causing Sansom to take a check off the rail.
Following the race, Daniel Hiskett reported that Gentleman Moore (IRE), which was pulled up, ran too free.
