Permission was given for Blue Hero (CAN) to go early to post.
Isobel Francis, the rider of Honey Pot (IRE), placed fourth, had appeared to stop riding shortly before the winning post to be beaten a nose for third place.
After being interviewed and shown recordings of the incident, Francis was suspended for 7 days for failing to take all reasonable and permissible measures to obtain the best possible placing on a horse that could have finished third.
Being a 7lb claiming apprentice, Francis was offered the opportunity to have someone accompany her in the enquiry, but declined.
Following the race, Isobel Francis reported that Honey Pot (IRE), placed fourth, ran too freely in the early stages.
The Veterinary Officer reported that Blue Hero (CAN), unplaced, had bled from the nose.
