An enquiry was held to consider the placings in this race after interference inside the final furlong when the winner, Seinesational (GB), ridden by David Egan, interfered with Knight Commander (GB), placed second, ridden by Raul Da Silva.
The Stewards considered that the interference had not improved Seinesational (GB)’s placing as Knight Commander (GB) lost little momentum as a result of the interference and was always being held by Seinesational (GB), with the distance at the line a neck.
Egan was suspended for 2 days for careless riding as he had allowed his mount to hang right-handed without sufficient correction.
Following the race, David Probert reported that Black Noah (GB), placed seventh, ran too freely and Gabriele Malune reported that Uncle Bernie (IRE), placed sixth, hung right-handed.
