James got his amateur license last year and has had two bumper winners. I wouldn't have enough opportunities for him as an amateur and don't have many bumper horses, so he decided to get his conditional license two or three months ago. He's a good young lad who's with me the whole time and works hard. this horse had been frustrating at times but has ability and he'd been running well on the Flat lately. The Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident in the closing stages of this race involving Dare To Flare, ridden by C.M. Quirke, placed sixth, My Manekineko (GB), ridden by G. Brouder, placed fourth, and Kellyiscool, ridden by M.J.M O'Sullivan, placed fifth, where it appeared the riders got a bit tight for room. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted

At the request of the Raceday Stewards, C.P O'Shea, rider of Jet Star, trained by C.W.J. Farrell, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount ran keen, hung badly left and slipped up on the bend past the stands independently of any other horse.

A hurdle for four years old and upwards to be claimed for #15,000 or less (Minimum claiming price #4,000)
