Permission was given for Eminency (IRE) to be mounted in the chute; for CONNIE’S ROSE to wear a red hood to the start; for Alpine Girl (IRE) to go early wearing a red hood to the start.
The winner, Gisburn (IRE) appeared to show improved form compared with its previous run at Newmarket on the 12 July 2024, where the gelding finished twelfth of thirteen runners beaten 13 ½ lengths.
The explanation given by the representative of Richard Hannon that the gelding was suited by the drop down in trip from 7 furlongs to 6 furlongs and on a slower surface on this occasion, was noted.
Gisburn (IRE) was routine tested.
Following the race, Harry Davies reported that Alpine Girl (IRE), placed sixth, was fractious in the stalls and slowly away as a result.
